Benefit Package

When a person goes for a job interview, one of the topics that is sure to come up if the interview process goes far enough is the benefits that come with the job. Now, I don’t recommend leading off with this question, or the interview might be very short, but once an employer has made it clear what they expect from a potential employee, it’s fair for that person to ask about the benefits the job provides.

I love how in Psalm 1 God lays out some of the benefits of living for Him.

Psalm 1:2–3 (ESV)
2 but his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. 3 He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.

The word blessed means happy, delighted, joyful. Not the kind of short-lived “I just had an ice cream cone…I’m so happy,” but talking about deep soul satisfaction. Honestly, when your soul is satisfied, you have everything even if you have nothing. Delight yourself in God’s Word today and be blessed.

  1. I look forward to every Sunday Morning sitting right up there on the front row listening to Pastor Bruce and when he is finished I feel like I have been re-juvinated for another week. He is so down to earth in his teachings so that we all can understand. He and Lori
are awesome and I pray they will be with us for a long time.
