Forgiving Others is Hard

This past week in our Uncommon Hope teaching series, we looked at the difficult area of forgiving people who have hurt us (Watch the sermon here). We defined forgiveness as the decision “to release a person from the debt that occurred when they injured you.” There are numerous questions that come up related to forgiveness like:

  • What about reconciliation?
  • Do I need to tell the person that I’ve forgiven them?
  • What if the person I need to forgive isn’t alive anymore?
  • Etc., etc., etc.
