Marriage @ Work

It is truly awesome to see the gospel at work. It’s amazing also to think that one of God’s great purposes in marriage is to picture the relationship between Christ and the people He has redeemed. (Ephesians 5:32)

Marriage is both hard and glorious, frustrating and exhilarating. It also helps us to understand what’s at stake. A Christian marriage is representing Christ to a watching world. When people see Christian marriages characterized by love, sacrifice and forgiveness – it makes the love, sacrifice and grace of the gospel more believable.

  1. We attended your church service on Sunday, March 8 – which we do when we are in town visiting our daughter – Miranda Rector – and her family. We so appreciated your message and would love to know how we can get a copy of the words you quoted about the difference between boys and men – we have 2 sons as well and my husband leads a landscape company of over 100 employees – awesome words to share with them. I look forward to hearing back from you.

We always so enjoy attending your church – you are doing someone wonderful things for the kingdom in Asheville and the world. God bless you for all that you do.

    1. Cathy, actually here it is. It is from a book called “33” by John Bryson. “Boys blame;men own. Boys take; men give. Boys complain; men figure out. Boys pout; men endure. Boys wish; men do. Boys start; men finish. Boys stiffen their neck; men bend their knees.”
